Many people can build one of anything, but building an electric motorbike for mass production involves a synchronization of suppliers, quality control, and parts tracking. We have been locking the design and releasing long lead-time parts for tooling (injection molding and die casting of battery components, for example). Where possible, we leveraged our existing components which allows us to already begin stocking our inventory racks. As of this update, about 50% of the M1 parts are uniquely identified, qualified, and are on our inventory racks awaiting assembly. Our longest lead-time item (the battery) has been ordered in sample quantity to confirm manufacturing quality and performance before our first production order. We expect samples to be completed and tested by early February.
